Pimento Cheese Fondue

  • 2 tablespoons white wine
  • 2 tablespoons pickle juice
  • 1/2 cup mayo
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1/2 cup pimentos
  • 1/2 pound sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • Italian bread (Yes, in the days before Americans adopted the baguette, there was only Italian bread.)


Combine all ingredients in a heavy saucepan, and on low-to-medium heat stir until cheese is thoroughly melted. Transfer to fondue pot when ready to serve.
