Pimento Cheese Fondue

<ul> <li>2 tablespoons white wine</li> <li>2 tablespoons pickle juice</li> <li>1/2 cup mayo</li> <li>2 tablespoons heavy cream</li> <li>1/2 teaspoon dry mustard</li> <li>1/2 cup pimentos</li> <li>1/2 pound sharp cheddar cheese, shredded</li> <li>Italian bread (Yes, in the days before Americans adopted the baguette, there was only Italian bread.)</li> </ul>
Combine all ingredients in a heavy saucepan, and on low-to-medium heat stir until cheese is thoroughly melted. Transfer to fondue pot when ready to serve.
