- 2 cups cooked skinless chickpeas*, cooking liquid reserved.
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- ½ cup tahini, well stirred
- ½ teaspoon kosher salt
- Juice of 1 lemon
- ½ to 1 cup chickpea cooking liquid, or cold water as needed
