After our wedding last weekend, my husband and I drove to a floral preservationist in Levering on Monday and decided to make a day trip out of it. We made our way to the Tunnel of Trees, just 10 minutes away, and found that most of the canopy was just starting to peak through with yellows and oranges. As of Oct. 16, much of the tunnel was still sporting lime green foliage, so that means leaf peepers have plenty of opportunities in the coming days to see the tunnel in all of its autumnal glory.

Tip: During our drive, we found that most of the shops and businesses along the route were closed (the woes of a Monday), but that also meant that the winding road was completely free of traffic jams. So if you feel like packing your own snacks and cider, I definitely recommend driving through on a Monday, if you can swing it!
