This must-visit café has spent three decades warming bellies with countless cups of house-roasted coffee and delish breakfast and lunch selections, but few things ward off a winter chill like a bowl of piping-hot soup.

Enter: Roast & Toast’s Soup Flight. Inspired by wine and beer tasting flights, samples are served in seven-ounce cups and come in mix-and-match sets of three ($7.75) or four ($9.95). Available flavors rotate daily—the café has a robust collection of 140 recipes—though staples like white chicken chili, potato bleu cheese and chicken noodle are popular picks. Enjoy a flight alongside other menu favorites like the turkey avocado club with Plath’s Meats bacon, or the Lake Street salad with mixed greens, toasted pecans and lemon-cherry vinaigrette. For the serious soup aficionado, prepaid “soupscription” cards are available. Also souper cool, Roast & Toast is ladling out the love by donating up to four gallons of soup per week to Brother Dan’s Food Pantry.
