MyNorth videographer Kris Riley ventured to the Frankfort Lighthouse on a crisp February afternoon to capture the shivering beach grasses, the crystalline ice formations and the stoic beacon located at the end of Frankfort harbor’s north break-wall.

The current Frankfort Light—a 46-foot tall steel, pyramidal tower—was constructed in 1925, and decommissioned by the United States Coast Guard in the summer of 2010.  The lighthouse is now owned and maintained by the City of Frankfort.
