Northern Michigan’s King of Bubbly, Larry Mawby, is well-known for creating sparkling wine in Leelanau County. At his L. Mawby Vineyards Suttons Bay tasting room, wine goers sip samples of bottle-fermented and tank-fermented sparkling wines. And when tasting room staff members state, “Have you tried sex yet?” a moment of confusion lingers followed by a flow a laughter when a bottle of dry rosé labeled with the name “Sex” is presented to taste.
