Those of you who’ve been missing the famous 5 Dragon sandwich or white chicken chili at Pierson’s since it closed back in 2015 will be happy to know the bar and grill is re-opening at a new Harbor Springs location. Those menu favorites haven’t gone anywhere, and gourmet personal pizzas and a game area that includes shuffleboard and retro arcade games bring a little something new to this incarnation of the restaurant.
It’s still a stone’s throw from Boyne, so Pierson’s remains a solid choice for an après-ski/après-golf meetup. But the restaurant’s Emily Jones says the new downtown location has also been adopted by Harbor’s locals. “I mean, we really haven’t had a slow season yet. We’ve been really fortunate. The town has really gone out of its way to make us feel like we’ve always been there.”
