Calling all my fellow Gilmore Girls fans! Third Coast Bakery in Suttons Bay is baking up a special recipe for the new cookbook based on the show. And the book, Eat Like A Gilmore, came out today!

Eat Like A Gilmore was funded by and created for fans of the show and includes 100 food and drink recipes inspired by Luke’s Diner, Dragonfly Inn, Emily’s Friday night dinners and, of course, Lorelai and Rory.

“I’m beyond excited to contribute to the cookbook,”says Third Coast Bakery owner Heather Burson. “Gilmore Girls is very close to my heart, full of strong women, complex relationships, quirky townspeople and fast-paced smart humor. I’ve watched it over and over for years and it always feels like going home, yet it never gets old. To create a recipe for a dish featured in the show is thrilling, and then to share that recipe with Gilmore fans worldwide is humbling.”

Eat Like A GilmoreFor the cookbook, Heather created the blueberry shortcake from season one.

Other recipes to look forward to:

  • Pumpkin pancakes
  • Rocky road cookies
  • Birthday girl cocktail
  • Founders Day punch
  • Homemade twinkies
  • Salmon puffs
  • Mock turtle soup
  • Risotto
  • Deep-fried turkey

The book will also have helpful kitchen tips and fun tidbits about the show. It hit shelves and online stores Tuesday, October 25 (get it here, $24.99 plus shipping)—a month before Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life starts streaming on Netflix November 25 (mark your calendar!!). The new series will consist of four 90-minute episodes, set in Stars Hollow. It is a continuation of Gilmore Girls, the American comedy-drama television series created by Amy Sherman-Palladino.
