Northern Michigan food and drink is what gets us through the summer.
Traverse‘s food and drink editor, Tim Tebeau, offers this recipe for Summer Berry Punch, a refreshing gin-based and fruit-ridden cocktail that’ll help shake up the rest of the summer.
- 24 Blueberries
- 24 Blackberries
- 24 Raspberries
- 12 ounces Grand Traverse Distillery Peninsula Gin
- 4 ounces Black Star Farms Spirit of Cherry
- 4 ounces freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 4 ounces simple syrup
- 16 ounces club soda
In a large container muddle the berries, add the next four ingredients, stir thoroughly to combine and strain into a pitcher. Chill berry infusion for at least three hours then pour into punch bowl over large block of ice and add club soda.
Garnish with fresh berries and mint leaves.
