Department Summary
Located within the Gas Engineering and Supply, Customer Energy Management is responsible for the planning and the execution of new and existing customer requested services. We work with individual residential customers, large commercial firms and businesses, municipalities, other utilities, and internal stakeholders to meet the customer needs of their gas projects. The goal of this team is to provide excellent customer service by being the face of the company. We strive to meet the energy needs of the customer by being our customers trusted energy partner. Job Description/Responsibilities
As a Technician, you will:
•Analyze and resolve a wide variety of work procedures (which may involve the engineering design, work order preparation, field checking, scheduling coordination, material provisioning and ordering, billing, redlining, preparation of “as-builts,” and work order reconciliation and closeout).
•Interact with other internal departments to resolve customer issues, and communicate, negotiate and counsel on a variety of topics including payment options, complex technical information or procedures, energy rates, and explaining company policy in a variety of energy-related areas.
•Interpret and analyze a wide variety of complex technical/scientific design projects, perform scheduling for multiple tasks or work coordination, and respond to customer inquiries including but not exclusive to new energy requests. These tasks involve the evaluation of alternative courses of action, recommending and coordinating the appropriate actions through the work process to meet customer energy needs.
•Coordinate with employees in other departments and/or external agencies to meet any special requirements of the energy request orders.

•Possess strong computer (Windows, Microsoft Office) and analytical skills
•Enjoy working in a team environment
•Have the ability to interact with internal and external clients to receive highly advanced information and data
•Demonstrate excellent customer service skills

Required Qualifications
A two-year associate degree in the requisite scientific, technical or business field (48 scientific or technical credit hours as measured on a semester basis). Or have completed two years of college course work (60 Credits) towards a Bachelor degree in a scientific, technical or business field. The 48 scientific or technical credit hours can be obtained through colleges, technical institutes, licensed apprenticeship programs, trade schools, military programs, etc. OR Enrollment in a scientific, technical, business degree program, with a commitment to obtaining required educational requirements via institutional credits and company offered training within a presented timeline.
Extensive experience may be considered for placement within the Technical Support job family

The following skills may set you apart from others:
•SAP experience
•Working experience in gas and/or electric distribution
•Additional work experience in an associated area with applied complex design
•Demonstrated proficiency in Computer Aided Design (CAD)
•Demonstrated proficiency in blueprint reading

Essential Functions
Review blueprints, drawings, property descriptions and plans to verify requests are within the capability of the system, (i.e.) within voltage availability). Complete site analysis as needed to take measurements required for design layout. Apply engineering standards to design project within CE tariffs and following company policy and procedure guidelines. Utilize company tools (SAP, Micro station, Office, etc.) to coordinate work order preparation and procurement of all equipment and materials required for completion of project.
