Responsible for ensuring the implementation of analytical, process, and systems support for work unit. Works independently and identifies appropriate course of action to analyze issues, recommend solutions, and administer budget. Manages or coordinates various administrative programs. Maintains oversight of procedures and regulations.
â¢Provides work direction for a team of represented personnel responsible for
field construction, maintenance, customer-driven and code compliance work.
â¢Performs the duties of the supervisor in their absence.
â¢Responsible for ensuring that construction work is planned in accordance with
company standards and procedures. This includes negotiating annual permits
with municipalities and other agencies.
â¢Utilizes experience-based knowledge to provide technical expertise to field
â¢Assists in the analysis of workload, performance/team management. Develop
project plans, identify resources, and ensure tasks are performed to meet
â¢Responsible for Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) and other
â¢Assists with budget administration. Ensure “as-builts” and contractor
completions are in sync with invoices.Â Reviews and closes orders and
â¢Completes special projects as assigned.
â¢Assists with on-site monitoring of construction contractor crews. Perform
investigations, prepare and present the findings and recommendations to
â¢Must be able to work weekends and/or overtime as needed and may have on-
â¢Please note, this position may report to any of the North/ Central Construction
Region Stations determined by business needs and management discretion.
Minimum: This is a multi-track based requirement job; education and
requirements can be satisfied through one of the following options:
â¢High school diploma or equivalent (GED) and four years of field experience in
natural gas distribution, field service, transmission and storage, or field support
â¢Associate’s Degree and two years of field experience in natural gas
field service, transmission and storage, or field support groups; OR
â¢A valid Michigan driver’s license and meet company and DOT driving
â¢Pass initial DOT drug screen and is subject to random drug testing
â¢Working knowledge of Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBA)
â¢Work planning and coordinating experience
â¢PC skills, including Microsoft Office
â¢Working knowledge of Service Suite, Maximo/Rave and SAP
â¢Knowledge of underground construction practices and procedures.
