About System Vice President of Ancillary Services


The System Vice President of Ancillary Services has overall responsibility and accountability for the MHC system performance of the following areas: Laboratory, Pharmacy, Radiology, Environmental Services, and Food and Nutrition.


  • Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or other related field required

  • 10 years of progressively-responsible experience within a health system setting

  • Experience with hospital operations, financial management, provider productivity models, physician compensation models, and data systems

  • Demonstrated effectiveness in collaborating across the organization and preferably across multiple entities

  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills, i.e. both written and oral communication, listening skills, consensus building and negotiating skills, ability to relate at all levels within the organization; demonstrated ability to interact with physicians/other professionals and manage effectively with a wide variety of situations, cultures and settings


Reports to the Munson Medical Center President/MHC Chief Operating Officer and is a member of the MMC Senior Leadership Team as well as the System Senior Leadership Team.


X No clinical contact with patients


  • Supports the Mission, Vision and Values of Munson Healthcare.

  • Has overall accountability for the performance of the areas mentioned above, including patient/customer satisfaction, employee engagement, quality, safety, and financial/operational results.

  • Develops strategy to fully integrate services within MHC by collaborating and working with MHC entities. Implements structure/tactics to ensure organizational strategy is effectively deployed and results are achieved throughout the system.

  • Engages all levels – employees, senior leadership, physicians, entities- to achieve results.

  • Consistently demonstrates an approach of continuous process improvement, uses data effectively to drive decisions and ensures data and business systems are used to achieve desired outcomes.

  • Coaches and develops leaders within areas of responsibility; holds leaders accountable for results and effective leadership behaviors.

  • Remains current regarding trends, developments, legislation and legal requirements that impact the delivery of healthcare.

  • Ensures compliance with all regulatory/accrediting agencies governing hospital operations. Maintains constant state of readiness.

  • Effectively builds relationships with and engages the medical staff in the development and delivery of operational plans.

  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
