About Sr Quality Engineer

PDS Tech Inc. is seeking a Sr. Quality Engineer, in Boyne City, MI.


  • Team with customers and engineering to solve customer identified product quality concerns.

  • Utilize Six Sigma tools with a structured problem solving methodology to identify root cause and develop corrective actions for failure modes identified through failure analysis.

  • Respond to customer requests for RCCA (root cause / corrective action) and utilizing the E-Cats sytem

  • Assist the engineering team in identifying and implementing processes and procedures that reduce cost and PPM while improving product yield, reliability and customer satisfaction. Including but not limited to Tier II scrap reporting.

  • Support the production team in ensuring that suspect material is effectively contained with appropriate disposition to protect the customer.

  • Assist the NPI and Manufacturing Engineering team in defining clear and controllable product specifications in line with customer requirements.

  • Review and approve process documentation and work instructions for compliance to specification requirements and industry best practices. Perform FAI’s, R&O and Warranty support.

  • Ensure all internal manufacturing, development, supplier, and receiving inspection work instructions are correct and conform to the quality policy and expectations.

  • Support other quality assurance initiatives and procedures as requested.

Education :

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Quality Management or related field and 2-3 years directly related experience or a minimum of 5-7 years of industrial manufacturing leadership & work with quality and related matters.


  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Effective written and verbal communications skills.

  • Project management skills.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Strong business acumen with the ability to drive process improvements.
