Sr Electrical Design Engineer

Support Honeywell to deliver innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of customers. You will work under limited supervision and alongside some of the world’s most talented engineers. You will contribute to the development of Honeywell’s next generation products by designing, testing and validating products from prototype thru market launch. You will be part of a group of highly committed professionals who provide expertise to ensure the success of complex engineering programs while acting as a mentor to more junior engineers. You will interact with internal and external customers in order to facilitate the completion of projects to customer specifications.
This role will be working in the New Product Development team to develop electromechanical sensors for the Aerospace industry within Honeywellâs Sensing and IoT business. The ideal candidate will bring experience in end to end product development, validation and verification, knowledge of Aerospace systems, DO-160, and EMI/EMC.To learn more about Honeywellâs Sensing and IoT business and products, please visithttp://sensing.honeywell.com.

YOU MUST HAVE
â¢Bachelorâs degree in electrical engineering
â¢3 years of circuit design experience
â¢U.S. citizen or permanent resident status
â¢Masterâs degree in engineering and/or business administration
â¢Excellent electrical design skills
â¢Proficient with analog and digital circuit design
â¢Experience in electromagnetic capability (EMC) design
â¢Experience with designs using Microcontrollers
â¢Ability to evaluate cost verse performance trade-off for new concepts
â¢Experience working with global teams, suppliers, and customers
â¢Ability to design using six sigma and lean product development tools
â¢Understanding of magnetic sensor technologies including inductive, capacitive, and reluctance
â¢Ability to travel (up to 10% of the time) to support customers and product launches
â¢Business acumen to support product management and technology roadmap developments
