About Senior Kronos Systems Analyst

SUMMARY

Primary point of contact, configuration expert and trainer for system wide Kronos timekeeping software. Maintains data integrity with various downstream interfaces. Responsible for optimizing labor efficiency through scheduling and time tracking; delegating various routine tasks such as reporting and providing scheduling assistance for end users. Coordinates the work of Systems Analysts who support HR, particularly as it relates to Kronos. Is a perpetual student of HR systems and processes to inform configuration decisions that are in the best interest of the entire health system. Identifies and resolves operational issues and supports process improvements within Kronos and Payroll (Infor FKA Lawson). Works cross functionally with affiliate HR and management team members.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Computer Science, Business Management or related field required.

  • 5-8 years applicable experience at the super user level with electronic timekeeping or similar database software or computer systems required; Kronos experience preferred.

  • Experience with Absence Management, Self Service Modules and payroll timekeeping interfaces (Kronos) preferred.

  • Leadership experience in an instructional role desired.

  • Excellent organizational/communication (written and verbal) skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

  • Ability to multi-task effectively.

ORGANIZATION

Reporting directly to the System Director Compensation Benefits and HRIS, this position is the system lead focusing on the technical implementation, support and maintenance of the Kronos timekeeping system and is a significant, individual contributor to the Human Resources team.

SPECIFIC DUTIES

  • Supports the Mission, Vision and Values of Munson Healthcare.

  • Leads system acquisition Kronos integration, upgrades and optimization projects.

  • Maintains integrity and accuracy of database(s) by running periodic audit reports to test for reasonableness and look for outliers that would indicate data issues.

  • Uses Lean principles to ensure work follows best practice standard protocols, is streamlined, efficient and not bogged down by custom orders.

  • Identifies HR opportunities for improvement and works with related areas to implement and gain efficiencies.

  • Collaborates with HRIS Analysts to ensure data integration to/from Infor (FKA Lawson) and Kronos is bullet proof at all times.

  • Meets with end users to develop, maintain, produce, and distribute standard and custom reports and queries.

  • Acts as liaison with managerial and systems analysis personnel in IS and at Kronos when needed to clarify program intent, identify problems, suggest changes, and determine extent of programming involved when business requirements change.

  • Assists IS with system upgrades, failover/backup processes and patches.

  • Ensures security of HR information through established security protocol.

  • Trains super users at each major health system location using Train the Trainer (T3) methodology.

  • Researches, tracks and resolves timekeeping issues or data interface disconnects.

  • Compiles documentation of program development and subsequent revisions.

  • Creates scripted documentation for all work procedures and trains back-end users on appropriate tasks and processes.

  • Researches new techniques in the development of systems and maintains knowledge of current trends and strategies in technology fields relating to time keeping and HRIS.

  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
