Under the direction of the Donor Services Manager, supports the Donor Services department by performing the following operational and clerical duties. Such as:
â¢Answers incoming phone calls and transfers to appropriate department.
â¢Performs fixed site/mobile registration.
â¢Performs pre-registration of Autologous/Directed and Hemochromatosis donations. Obtains clearance when needed and enters all orders into the computer. Contacts hospitals, physician’s office, and donors (patients) to ensure smooth transactions.
â¢Performs scheduling and rescheduling of donor appointments.
â¢Converts donors to apheresis.
â¢Enters data from and scans various Donor Services forms.
â¢Supports supply chain and inventory processes of Donor Services.
â¢Assists with SOP/controlled document insertion/removal.
â¢Oversees post donation area including restocking of supplies and donor after-care.
â¢Utilize phone and company email as an effective means of professional communication.
â¢Performs bag prep and unit care.
â¢High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
â¢1-2 years administrative and/or receptionist required.
â¢2-3 years MI Blood experience is preferred, but not required.
