Directs and coordinates activities concerned with production of company products by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Promotes safety awareness, accident prevention and employee involvement in regard to a safe work environment. Ensures employees have an understanding of the safety expectations of the organization.
Promotes the company culture, the mission and vision, and the core values of the company.
Reviews all tooling requests to determine best method of manufacture as well as meeting Foundry requirements for manufacturing. This includes proper selection of materials appropriate for the requested tooling.
Provides cost estimates (labor and materials) for new reworked tooling requests.
Analysis of manufacturing issues to determine the best course of action or remedy in regards to any necessary tooling rework.
Coordinate work flow of CNC programming area. Assists with various CNC programming related needs or questions.
Confers with management personnel to establish production and quality control standards, develops budgets and cost controls and to obtain data regarding quantities, specifications and required dates.
Works with supervision and Human Resources to oversee and respond to various personnel needs/concerns.
Has working knowledge of precision machining equipment and can provide direction for future technology improvements.
Manages shift supervision and up to 15 Pattern Shop employees in the manufacture of tooling for EJ manufacturing operations. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these areas. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree required and four to ten year’s related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge of engineering project management methods
Functional abilities with SolidWorks, MAGMA soft, AutoCAD, or other modeling software
Experience with a new job start up, PPAP and a working knowledge of foundry riser and gating
A working knowledge of Lean Methodology
