About Operations and Engagement Coordinator

Interlochen Public Radio seeks an inspired professional to manage two critical functions of our public radio service: operations and listener engagement. This split role is for someone who is passionate about the importance of public radio in our region and the broader society. We need someone who is flexible, can solve problems, help people and is comfortable with technology and computer systems.

Key responsibilities will be to manage our traffic and automation systems, work with station staff to keep our programming running smoothly and manage business and office tasks like invoicing. At the same time, you will be the primary point of contact for our listeners on the phone, digitally and in person. We are looking for a creative person who can help us find new ways to interact with the people who rely on our service so that we deepen our connections with them. This position will work closely with the Executive Director of Interlochen Public Radio.

Interlochen Public Radio serves Northwest Lower Michigan with separate channels for news and classical music. It’s a beautiful region known for its wondrous natural resources, particularly the Great Lakes. Our FM footprint includes roughly 250,000 people in an area 200 miles across. The services are owned by Interlochen Center for the Arts, an arts education organization that has been in operation for 90 years.
