Graduate of an approved school of nursing with a Bachelorâs of Science in Nursing or graduation from an approved school of Physical or Occupational Therapy. Master of Science in Nursing or Master of Science in Physical or Occupational Therapy preferred.
Licensed as a Registered Nurse and in good standing with the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulation or licensed to practice physical or occupation therapy in the State of Michigan and be in good standing.
Managers hired by Munson Home Health or transferred from Munson Medical Center to Munson Home Health prior to January 1, 2009, are encouraged to obtain a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
Minimum of 8 years clinical experience as a Physical or Occupational Therapist required with 2 years Acute Care and 3 years in Home Care or Hospice experience required or 8 years of nursing with 2 years Acute Care and 3 years of Home Care or Hospice experience required. Management experience required.
OASIS certification preferred.
Proven knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid regulations required. Knowledge of CHAP standards preferred.
Proven ability to effectively communicate with all parties in the interest of quality and comprehensive care.
Proven ability to work independently demonstrating accountability for managing time and job responsibilities.
Possesses current Michigan motor vehicle license, ability to drive a car, and insured vehicle capable of transport to patient homes or other offices in various weather conditions.
Meets Home Health and Medicare standards as evidenced by criminal background check and fingerprinting.
Meets MHH established requirements for proof of health status. Physically able to lift 35 pounds. Demonstrates ability to move, position and transfer clients utilizing good body mechanics, lifting techniques and/or transfer assistive devices to avoid manipulating more than 35 pounds.

Works with management of other home health programs to develop goals, implement a strategic plan, standardize operations, achieve quality goals, and assure operational efficiency.
Regularly attends continuing education sessions/ in-services and staff meetings.
Participates in the management on-call system.
Employees with e-mail are required to maintain proficiency in the basic functions of the program and are also required to regularly check email and keep calendars up to date.
