Shift: 10:00am-6:30pm

Correct Starting Wage: $13.29


  1. High School Graduate or GED

  2. Physically capable of handling/processing freight over an 8 hour period

  3. Physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds

  4. Physically capable of standing/walking over an 8 hour period

  5. Possesses skills which reflect detail, accurate results

  6. Good comprehension and communication skills

  7. Is flexible to changes in work schedule

  8. Ability to work well with others

  9. Basic computer / data entry skills

  10. Continuous successful work experience of two or more years


Depending on work assignment and site location, the Logistics Tech I reports to the Site Manager. Has cooperative working relationship within their site locations with Directors, Managers, Supervisors/Coordinators and customers. Those techs that are responsible for a specific unit have a close working relationship with that Unit Manager/Charge Nurses. Involves daily working contact with co-workers, hospital staff, visitors and medical staff personnel.

  4. Uses effective customer service/interpersonal skills at all times

  5. Ability to use mechanical lifting equipment with proper training

  6. Counts Par locations, unit storage rooms or other supply locations specific to area covering if applicable.

  7. Picks supplies accurately from inventory according to pick ticket.Meets quality and efficiency requirements as defined by department.

  8. Packs, lifts and package supplies according to requirements

  9. Stage and prepare products for shipping

  10. Stocks, rotates supplies and checks expiration dates in assigned locations, including nurse servers and medication rooms.

  11. Accurately records all transactions to/from inventory using defined processes and systems.

  12. Accurately logs and delivers supplies as required

  13. Educates customers regarding supply chain functions.

  14. Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

    If a logistic tech is assigned to a specific nursing unit, the following duties may apply as well:

  15. Stocks unit pantries and linen supply areas

  16. Requisitions forms and office supplies as designated or requested by unit

  17. Facilitates the order for non-stock supplies as directed by unit staff or manager

  18. Attends unit staff meetings and shared governance meetings as well as unit huddles as requested

  19. Act as a liaison between nursing department and all NMSA services.

    q Accuracy on counting, picking, packing and delivering supplies

    q Annual performance will be evaluated through key customers and departmental staff
