Work shifts vary; 35 hrs/wk-Employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employmentÂ period;Â 7 days/week;Â mustÂ be able to workÂ MondayÂ thru Sunday, day off rotates. $11.50 /hr / OT: $17.25/hr (not guaranteed). Employer provides optionalÂ modestÂ housing to employeesÂ at costÂ of $300Â per month, dependingÂ on occupancyÂ levels (payrollÂ deducted),Â plus Â a $150 refundable security deposit. 4 employees assigned to a 2 bedroom, 2 bath furnished apartment at Emerald Creek Apartments, 2520 Crossing Circle, Traverse City, Ml 49684, approximately 1 mile from workplace. Employees pay and provide their own daily transportation between the housing and workplace. Other perks: Employee parties, free lunch (every day), monthly incentives such as Pack Member of the Month, other departmental incentives and monthly department parties/gatherings.Â Employer will use a single workweek as its standard for computing wages due. Will be paid every two weeks. Employer will make all deductions from the worker’s paycheck required by law. Duties: Willingness to accept the most effective role. Responsible for the promotion of a safe and professional workplace through adhering to policies and procedures as outlined in the Great Wolf Resorts handbook. Cleans guest rooms and guest areas, including: making beds; dusting and vacuuming; cleaning bathroom; replacing supplies; cleaning windows, mirrors, and patios. Utilizes chemicals according to directions and familiarizes self with all material safety data sheets. Reports hazardous conditions in work area or equipment to supervisor: Maintains a stocked, organized, and clean cart with sufficient supplies. Reports maintenance issues. Documents and secures lost and found items. Communicates with guest on a professional and friendly manner. Keeps supplies ready by restocking housekeeping cart at end of shift. Assists House person, including delivering guest requests and pick up of used guest items. Conserves energy by closing shades and draperies; turning down air conditioning and heat of unoccupied rooms. Participates fully in Project Green Wolf, our company-wide environmental sustainability initiative, which includes, but is not limited to, recycling, waste reduction, and energy and water conservation. Requirements: Must be high school graduate or have GED; Must be able to lift 30 lbs & be able to push/pull 100 lbs. on carpet; Must be able to bend, stretch; Will have exposure to chemicals; Successful completion of criminal background check and drug screen. The criminal background check and drug screening will take place pre-hire and will take place at no cost to the worker. The criminal background check and drug screening will be carried out equally between the US workers and the H-2B workers. Employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, & equipment required to perform the job. Employer will reimburse the H-2B worker in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government, incurred by the H-2B worker. Initial cost of transportation from place of origin (including meals & to the extent necessary lodging) to the place of employment will be reimbursed, if the worker completes half the employment period. Transportation reimbursement will be the lower of the most economical & reasonable common carrier cost of transportation or the actual cost of transportation (substantiated by receipts). Â Subsistence reimbursement will be a minimum of $12.26 per day & a maximum of $51.00 per day (with documentation of actual expenses). Reimbursement to the worker will be made no later than the first week of employment. ReturnÂ transportation to the worker’sÂ placeÂ ofÂ origin will be provided if the worker completes the employment period or is dismissed early by the employer.
