As a Home Entertainment Specialist you will be responsible for visiting multiple customersâ homes and performing a variety of tasks, such as preparing and surveying installation sites, connecting equipment according to specifications and ensuring that customers are educated about the features of their equipment. This is your chance to be hands-on with technology and work with a variety of people. You will feel rewarded by the opportunity to offer technology and home automation services to enhance a customerâs experience.
A successful Home Entertainment Specialist must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent. You must possess a valid driver’s license with a non-negligent driving record in order to meet the required safety standards.Â Â Other essential skills include excellent written and verbal communication, above average math skills, common sense and some computer or technical knowledge.Â
Physical demands must be met in order to perform the essential functions of this job. These demands will include, but are not limited to: standing, walking, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching and/or crawling. In addition to these requirements, you must have the ability to lift and move 75-100 pounds and climb up 24-28 foot ladders. Home Entertainment Specialists can be asked to travel within a 50-75 mile radius of their homes on a daily basis. You must also be willing to work a flexible, retail schedule that will include weekends, evenings, holidays and overtime as needed.
