Coordinates activities of workers engaged in recording hours of work, processing time records, compiling payroll statistics, maintaining payroll control records, and calculating payroll. Ensures employees are paid timely and accurately.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Promotes safety awareness, accident prevention, and employee involvement in regard to a safe work environment.
Promotes the culture, mission, vision, brand promise, and core values of the company
Reviews wages computed and ensures accuracy of payroll and all labor and non-labor benefits
Reports and files workers compensation and other misc. state taxes with appropriate agencies.
Records data concerning transfer of employees between departments
Processes payroll timely and accurately
Prepares periodic reports of earnings, taxes, and deductions
Compiles payroll data such as hours worked, incentive pay, taxes, insurance, and other items to be withheld from data collection systems
Prepares various reports for internal departments and external agencies
Works with ADP in the setup of new polices and procedures
Prepares general ledger journal entries and account analysis
Records changes affecting net wages such as exemptions, insurance coverage, and loan payments for each employee to update master payroll record
Ability to work as a team member, communicating with others within the department as well as outside the department and company to accomplish the Company’s goals
Assists with special projects and other accounting functions, as needed. Problem solves for areas of improvement
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations, to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of accounting software, payroll systems, spreadsheet software, and word processing software
