The Executive Assistant Senior to the President & CEO’s role is to assist the president and board in completing their work as effectively and efficiently as possible, according to policy, goals and strategic plans of McLaren Northern Michigan. This includes scheduling, record keeping, communications, coordination of board orientation and continuing education, and other activities as requested by the president and the board. Performs all responsibilities with minimal supervision.
Coordinates the preparation of agendas and supporting documents for the president, board and standing committee meetings in sufficient time for members to prepare for meetings.
Attends board/committee meetings, takes minutes, and keeps accurate records of the business conducted. Maintains all board records and files.
Makes preparations for and assists management in organizing conferences and other pertinent meetings for president and board members.
Coordinates the preparation of all reports, studies and other materials requested by the president, the board and its committees.
Develops, coordinates and updates orientation programs for new board members and provides individual board member orientation assistance as needed. Serves as the primary contact person for the orientation of new board members.
Develops, coordinates, updates and tracks appropriate and effective board continuing education programs and schedules.
Initiates and conducts annual board self-assessment processes in a timely manner.
Responsible for completion of special assignments as requested by the president.
Assists Chief Financial Officer and Senior Director Planning and Marketing with administrative and scheduling tasks. Maintains meeting schedules and calendars of the president and the board.
Performs office management duties to ensure a pleasant office environment and good working order of all office equipment. Communicates effectively with president, board, Colleagues and visitors.
Performs other duties consistent with purpose of job as directed.
- Associate Degree in business management, office management or related field or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Ten years of experience as an Executive Administrative Assistant in a health care setting or related field.
