The Engineer – Process Control will provide engineering services to support mill control system and control projects, which include but are not limited to:Â emphasis on distributed control systems and new integrated supervisory weight and moisture controls.
Supports the mill’s operations and advanced process control efforts in planning, implementing and developing long-term success of advanced control organizational strategies.
Identify process optimization opportunities in all areas of the mill and facilitate their successful implementation from the standpoint of reduced product variation and costs.
Deals with application and software issues related to process control and supports end users in application development.
Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
0 – 3 years’ experience in controls.
Strong technical and analytical skills, familiarity with instrumentation, process control equipment, control strategies, and related software.
Vendor training in distributed control systems and quality control systems
Pulp and Paper Industry experience.

Excellent communication, analytical, organizational and computer skills.
Must be capable of independently making sound decisions through creative problem solving.
Must be capable of working with ambiguity and change.
