Associate degree in a Business or Healthcare related field required. In lieu of associate degree, consideration will be given to individuals with recent relevant experience and education.
National Certification in Health Information Technology/Administration preferred.

Successful completion of a Medical Terminology class is required.
Two or more years in Health Information Management (HIM) required within a hospital setting.
Previous experience handling multiple telephone calls and filing systems required

Processes electronic time cards for accuracy and reports attendance for the Management Staff. Adheres to Human Resource policies for FMLA, jury duty, on-call, etc., and monitors eligible time off under these policies.
Maintains and updates departmental orientation materials, as well as assists management staff with the technical aspects of new employee issues, i.e. mailboxes, supplies, etc.
Schedules appointments, meetings and coordinates educational programs for the Managers and staff, as appropriate; preparation of handouts, equipment and room setup.
Transcribes various materials for the HIM Department and the Patient Financial Services group when requested.
Places orders for the Department from multiple vendors.
Performs other duties as assigned.
