As a semi-private golf community, LochenHeath Golf Club has its own unique residential identity located just minutes from beautiful Traverse City in Northern Michigan, and centered around the 7,239-yard course designed by the nationally acclaimed architect Smyers.
LochenHeath is transitioning to becoming a private club. “We have a robust and growing membership, but during the next two to three year transition period, outside guests and golf afficionados will have the opportunity to experience an exceptional golf course with the hopes of becoming a member,” added O’Brien.
The par 72 course, created within a 300-acre cherry orchard, features four sets of tees; rolling hills of native grasses, and well contoured challenging greens. The course plays firm and fast with two water hazards, making it fun for all golfers. Views of beautiful Grand Traverse Bay can be seen from 14 holes. The facility also contains an expansive practice facility, full-service restaurant, and banquet facilities for 250 guests.
“LochenHeath sits on an extraordinary site with great movement to the land and with the backdrop of the Bay, it doesn’t get much better. We are really proud to have received this recognition by Golf Digest.”
