SUMMARY The Vice President of Supply Chain Managment will support the purchasing function as well as vendor relationship for multiple facilities. This position is also responsible for inventory control, material flow and transportation.Â The Vice President will also will be responsible for managing a team of individuals that maintain proper inventory levels, inventory mix, and overall efficiency and profitability. In addition, the Vice President will be responsible for resourcing and executing on newÂ vendor opportunities, looking for and implementing cost synergies within the current organization.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES -Manage a team of individuals responsible for purchasing and vendor management.. -Work with senior level counterparts at these OEMs to enhance business opportunities. -Negotiate contracts with new vendors. -Interface / manage vendor issues at a senior level to ensure they are resolved to the vendors and ultimately the end customers satisfaction. – -Work very closely with the Contracts Department to ensure orders are shipped properly and in accordance with our review and acceptance process. -Search for cost synergies and consolidation opportunities within the current organization. -Work with the Contracts Department and quality departments to constantly lean and refine our processes to ensure timely delivery of parts, complying with Government regulations, and corporate compliance. -Ensure timely delivery of parts in line with our division goals while maintaining a high level of customer and vendor satisfaction. -Work cooperatively with other members of the Defense group to ensure the highest service level possible. This includes actively participating in group meetings/project teams and consistently striving to improve the organization. -Ensure that departmental procedures are understood and followed. -All other duties as assigned.
