About Executive Chef

Busy Gastropub located in the beautiful Northern Michigan Resort Community of Petoskey, Michigan is searching for a talented Executive Chef.

We are in search of a experienced and professionally trained leader to lead are great kitchen staff that is already in place. Ideal candidate should also desire to play an integral part in the creation a second restaurant concept soon to be launched with a focus on wine, spirits and a cold plate kitchen.

Job Description:
•Create Seasonal menus in a gastropub style that respects quality of ingredients and is made from scratch.
•Manage a staff of about 10 and enforce high quality standards.
•Order food with a focus on inventory management and cost control.
•Create schedules to control labor cost and ensure adequate staffing.
•Maintain a clean and functional kitchen

Ideal candidates would possess:
•Experience cooking a gastro-pub menu.
•Prior executive chef experience.
•Experience improving restaurant profitability
•Experience in start ups

The amazing food at TAP30 is made from our scratch kitchen. All of our sauces, breads and more is made in house. The popular word know a days would be to call us a gastropub. High quality comfort food with our own unique flavorful twists.

Job Requirements

•At least 5 years of high quality line experience
•At least 1 year as a sous chef or lead cook
•Strong communication skills
•A strong creative vision
•A solid work ethic
•Basic computer skills
•Experience ordering and creating menus
•Passion for food and cooking!
