If you are looking for an elegant, glamorous, and festive night out, then this is the event for you! Ring in the new year by traveling back in time for a Prohibition-Era celebration with the cast of 123 Speakeasy. Celebrate with a 7 course meal, festive party favors, photo booth, and raffle as we count down the new year and ring in good luck for 2020!
$60 ticket includes seven course meal, a champagne toast, raffle entry, party favors, photo booth, tax, and gratuity.
Dress Code: Ring in the new year among a collection of bootleggers, gangsters, G-men, flappers, and molls. No costume is too fancy or flashy! There is a hat/coat check available, so if you have a fur coat, velvet cape, tuxedo tails, or elaborate hats, you won’t have to worry about crumpling or losing them! Don’t want to go all out? Wear something accented with sequins, mirrors, or rhinestones (drop earrings, perhaps?); the crystal chandeliers and candlelight will make you glitter and glow!
Minimum Age: The New Year’s Eve party is held within a speakeasy bar/restaurant. All attendees must be above 21 in age to enter. Tickets and IDs will be checked at the door. (Key holders may skip the line as usual.)
Check-In Policy: Guests may arrive and leave whenever they wish. The ticket simply reserves a seat/table for the 9pm – 1am period. Later arrivals may result in missing a round of tasty food or trip to the photo-booth! To re-enter, guests must have a wristband and may not be visibly intoxicated, as per The Dram Shop Act.
Over-serving: We reserve the right to refuse service to any guests that are visibly intoxicated or disruptive. If asked to leave, guests will not receive a refund.
What to Expect: All guests receive unlimited food and a champagne toast. If you have multiple parties attending, we will do our best to seat your party together; please ask your other party members to mention the last name of the original party in the notes/comments section of the order process. If your party is larger than six people we will do our best to seat your group at adjacent tables.
Food, Explained: Here at 123 Speakeasy, our catered meals are served in the Italian tradition of many small courses. This allows guests to mingle, wander, and socialize without being tied to a single table. A copy of the evening’s menu will be found under our “additional photos” once we have a better idea of what seasonal bounty Michigan has to offer this fall!
The aperitivo begins the meal. This is the appetizer course; small dishes of olives, nuts or cheeses may be available for guests to nibble on while enjoying a glass of wine or bubbly.
Antipasti is commonly considered the “starter.” The antipasi dish will be slightly more substantial than the aperitivo, and traditionally consists of charcuterie or a bruschetta.
Primi is the first course to contain hot food. Generally primi dishes do not feature meat, but highlight fine or luxurious ingredients such as truffles. Risotto, gnocchi, soup, pasta or consomme are typical primi dishes.
Depending on region secondi features chicken, beef, pork, lamb, or turkey prepared in a wide variety of ways (from sausage, to braising, grilling or roasting). Alternatively, diners may find fish, shrimp, scallops or some other kind of “meaty” seafood. If there are two dishes in the secondi, a palate cleanser is served between them.
Contorni dishes are served alongside secondi dishes. Contorni dishes are vegetable-based, and may be raw or cooked. Contorni are always served on a separate plate from the secondi in order to preserve the integrity of flavors.
Formaggi e frutta is a whole course dedicated to cheese and fruit! Creative pairings of fruit and regional cheese are presented in a beautiful or fantastical way.
Dolce (the Italian word for “sweet”) is the dessert course. Options include baked items, chocolate, and confections, usually highlighted in regional specialty desserts.
$60 ticket includes 7-course meal, a champagne toast, raffle entry, party favors, photo booth, gift bag, tax, and gratuity.
