Wassailing is an ancient rural tradition of toasting to the health of an orchard in hopes that a bountiful crop will ensue the following year.
A community celebration, wassailing is done on a January night beginning with a feast and libations, followed by a short procession to the orchard where toasts are made and torches lit.
Bring a sled! Immediately following is a sledding party! Wassailing and sledding begin at approximately 7pm following the potluck.
The Wagbo Farm and Education Center is located at 5745 North M-66, three miles south of East Jordan and just north of Kidder Rd.
