Whether you are an existing volunteer, would like to become one, or are just interested in the GTRLC’s work, this event is for you. Attendees will learn what roles volunteers play throughout the organization and service area and how to get involved.
Executive Director Glen Chown will provide an overview and current direction of the organization in a brief “State of the Conservancy” talk followed by stewardship staff presentations including an Arcadia Marsh restoration update, and a talk about current uses of technology in stewardship’s work. If time allows the group will hike around Ransom Lake and learn about vernal pools. Lunch will be provided.
The meeting will be held at Eastern Michigan Univeristy’s Jean Noble Parsons Center for the Study of Art and Science situated on beautiful Ransom Lake adjacent to GTRLC protected Ransom Lake Natural Area.
We require RSVP for this event. Sign up by visiting our website or calling 231.929.7911. If you plan to hike please dress for the weather, bring water and wear comfortable shoes.
