August 9, 2nd Annual Summer Book Club Social
Here’s an event aimed at book lovers, including anyone who belongs in a book club or is yearning to join one. Fittingly, it will feature Annie Spence, a former TADL librarian and author of Dear Fahrenheit 451: Love and Heartbreak in the Stacks—a collection of love letters written to the books she adores (and even a few missives to those she regrets ever meeting).
This free event is a collaborative effort between NWS, Horizon Books and the Traverse Area District Library. It will feature live music, refreshments, a raffle, and a conversation between Annie Spence and Northport novelist Sarah Shoemaker, who wrote Mr. Rochester. (Sarah was our featured author at least year’s summer book social).
DETAILS: Aug. 9, 6-8:30 pm, at the Bluewater Hall on M-22 (13424 S West Bay Shore Drive), hosted in partnership with Horizon Books and the Traverse Area District Library.
