Spruce up the Art Park on April 28 ~~
The community is invited to lend a hand for National Volunteer Week by helping Michigan Legacy Art Park get cleaned up and looking beautiful for the thousands of visitors expected this year.
Stewardship Day is a great way to enjoy some fresh spring air while supporting a northern Michigan cultural resource. Individual volunteers as well as area groups are encouraged to join the effort from 9:00 a.m. to Noon on Saturday, April 28. There are a variety of jobs for people of all ages and abilities, including cleaning sculptures, raking trails, maintaining environmental art, and more.
How to get involved:
•Dress appropriately for weather and working outdoors
•Arrive at the Art Park trailhead at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 28
•An Art Park representative will help get you started
•Bring work gloves, a rake, drinking water, leaf blower, a tarp, or other outdoor maintenance tools
•Expect to work no later than Noon
Additional volunteer opportunities are also available at Michigan Legacy Art Park, including leading tours for student groups, welcoming visitors, and assisting at concerts and other events. Please contact Michigan Legacy Art Park with any questions: (231) 378-4963 or [email protected]
