Come out and support Comedy For A Cause as we raise awareness for SUCCEED: Stand-Up Comedians Combining Entertainment and EDucation. SUCCEED’s mission is to educate teenagers about the consequences of negative behaviors while promoting positive lifestyles through live stand-up comedy with the goal of deterring juvenile delinquency in Michigan.

This not-for-profit event will take place on Friday, December 18th at Ecco | Traverse City. Doors open at 7pm and the comedy begins at 8pm. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at http://suc-ceed.org/event/stand-up-comedy-for-a-cause/
For ages 18+. Cash bar provided by Opa Uptown.

Comedy headliners for the evening include:
Adam Degi (Oddball Comedy Festival w Dave Chappelle, 2009 Winner of Funniest Person in Grand Rapids)- is a balding comedian from Grand Rapids who has never made love, but he has made nachos and he loves them. Adam’s strangely endearing personality and ability to riff, rant and improvise sets him apart and makes every show unique. With an unapologetic, outspoken, unfiltered and often unscripted act it’s difficult to tell when he’s telling a joke or just getting something off his chest.
Zach Martina (World Series of Comedy, Laugh Your Ashville Off Festival)- A supportive family, a loving relationship and kids who adore him, that’s the American dream. Unless you’re Zach Martina, then it’s a recipe for skepticism and anxiety. Using his sarcastic wit, creative wordplay and a loveable arrogance, Zach brings his big personality to crowds across America as they wonder, “I don’t know what he’s freaking out about, but it’s pretty funny.”

This event is hosted by Uncorrect Comedy‘s Christopher Xenakis and creator of SUCCEED. Additional openers include Jeremy West, Guido Saltarelli and Maxwell White.
Local musician Clint Weaner will be running sound as well as warming up the crowd with a live music performance from 7:30-8pm.
