Please join us on Friday, November 10th at 6 p.m. to taste the tempting creations of Chef Jim Voltz, author of “Soup on the Porch”. This event coincides with Ladies Opening Night and will be FUN, FUN, FUN! Reservations are requested.
After graduating from Iowa State University with a degree in engineering, Jim Voltz spent over thirty years working in the petro-chemical industry. But it was while he was the managing Director of the International Division of Petrofina and located in Petrofina’s Paris offices that he had a chance to pursue his avocation, cooking. He attended the legendary Le Cordon Bleu Culinary School and completed their training for non-professional chefs, earning a certificate of completion and the right to be called “chef”. Jim is the author of “Brunch on the Porch”, “Simple Meals on the Porch”, “Hors d’oeuvres on the Porch” and “Dinner on the Porch”. He lives in Crystal Lake, Michigan.
