The Harvest Food and Supply Drive is one of the most meaningful ways for you to support survivors of domestic abuse and their children in our community who are staying at the Women’s Resource Center of Northern Michigan’s Safe Home. Your donations of non-perishable foods, household goods, paper products, personal care items, grocery gift cards and financial contributions help make the Safe Home feel like ‘home’ for many families.
Women’s Resource Center of Northern Michigan operates the Safe Home 24/7, providing a secure, supportive and caring place to stay for domestic abuse survivors and their children while they regain control of their lives. Last year, survivors and their children were provided more than 5,800 meals and all their daily needs at no cost.
Individuals, groups and organizations may bring donations to the Women’s Resource Center of Northern Michigan’s main office and Gold Mine Resale Shops in Petoskey or to agency offices in Cheboygan, Gaylord and Mancelona. A Safe Home Needs List is available online at wrcnm.org. For more information, or to arrange for pick-up of items, call (231) 347-1572.
