5:00-6:00 Farm tour and hayride
6:00-8:00 Potluck & Robin Lee Berry Barn Concert
Described by Greg Brown to have a voice like “clear spring water gushing out of a deep place in the earth” and called “the soul of Northern Michigan” by Northern Express editor Robert Downes, Robin Lee Berry brings her passion for music and her love for the gift of life to Antrim County’s own Bluestem Farm.
Before the barn concert, you’ll get a chance to see the animals up close, meet knowledgeable farmer-guides, and gain insight into the ways Bluestem Farm weaves vegetable gardens, woods, and animal pastures into a living patchwork of many mysteries. After the farm tour and before the concert, we’ll share a potluck meal together in the big barn.
Families are welcome. This event, like farming, happens rain or shine. Please dress for the weather and wear comfortable shoes you won’t mind getting dirty. If you’d like to share the meal, please bring a dish to pass along with your own place-settings, along with a chair or blanket to sit on and a flashlight to find your way back to your car. Event parking is on the north side of M-32, on Adams Road. No dogs or alcohol, please. Bring along a blank T-shirt or canvas bag if you like, and we’ll be glad to silkscreen them for you with the farm’s pitchfork logo, free of charge.
