This celebration of fall will take place in downtown Glen Arbor all afternoon at the Township Park, giving participants time to carve their artistic creations, enjoy live music and plenty of activities and contests, followed by a Pumpkin lighting at 6pm.
Pumpkin Carving is open to kids & adults of all ages! Pumpkins will be provided to carve your masterpieces. Later, the Pumpkins will be placed at the corner of the park to show off a spectacle of the lit creations just before dusk and all evening.
The fun begins at Noon, with Games, Pumpkin Carving, a Craft Table and Face Painting. The Jack Pine Band returns for live music performance all afternoon as well. HIghlights are:
At 1:00 p.m. is the Costume Parade for children with prizes given to winners in a range of categories. Following at 1:30 p.m. is a Pet Costume Parade with prizes, also in a range of categories.
Then at 3:00 p.m. there will be the Pie Eating Contest with prizes for kids, teens, and adults. There will be a Chalk Art contest along the sidewalks, a Cake Walk, a Photo Booth and Cider & Donuts for all.
Carved Pumpkins will be on display and lit at 6pm for an artistic spectacle – both on Saturday and Sunday.
While you’re in town, make sure to shop at our small businesses and eat at the local establishments.
The event is Open to kids of all ages 🙂 with a $5 Donation per child is requested to join in the activities and compete for the prizes.
Everyone is invited to bring a contribution or two to the Empire Food Bank as well. A Collection Trailer will be located at the edge of the Township Park for donations of nonperishable food, toiletries, sanitary and cleaning items.
