“The World of Coca Cola,” presented by Lee Scott.

Scott’s presentation is a potpourri of history, facts and rumors about the world’s largest soft drink company, Coca Cola. Lee is a retired Vice President with The Coca-Cola Company and a veteran of 49 years in the soft drink industry. Following his retirement in 2001, he has continued to work for Coca-Cola in government relations and community affairs.

Scott, a Michigan native, and his wife Doris, a Pennsylvania native, have been married 38 years. Part-time residents of Torch Lake Township for many years, they moved here permanently nine years ago. He is a graduate of Michigan State University, and is active in the local community. He is a past chairman of the Torch Lake Township Planning Commission and currently serves on the board of the Torch Lake Protection Alliance.

$5 suggested donation for adults, $2 suggested donation for students (under age 18), requested at the door. Children are free. All proceeds benefit the Elk Rapids Area Historical Society’s building preservation.

Elk Rapids, on East Grand Traverse Bay and Elk Lake, is about 15 miles northeast of Traverse City on US-31.
