Elk Rapids, MI United States

The Elk Rapids Area Historical Society is pleased to announce Lin Meeker has joined the Society as a genealogical consultant. She has decades of experience with family history research, computer genealogical databases, and photography.

July 17, 7pm: Lin explains and demonstrates “The Bible Project,” which provides a way to preserve the records and family history found in family bibles.

The program is free and open to the public, however, donations are most welcome!

July 26, 10am-3pm at First Presbyterian Church, 404 Spruce St: Lin is available to meet with individuals with family bibles to digitally preserve the family historical records found in their book. This is a special opportunity to protect such special information for future generations. Because bible recording/digitations take about 30 minutes each, we are asking interested individuals to call and reserve a time to meet with Lin. Please contact: Marcia Graham, 248.542.4208 or email: [email protected] to reserve your place on the schedule.

Elk Rapids, on East Grand Traverse Bay and Elk Lake, is about 15 miles northeast of Traverse City on US-31.
