The Petoskey Regional Chamber of Commerce invites you to the 16th Annual Festival on the Bay held August 16-18, 2018 at the beautiful Bayfront Park in Petoskey, Michigan.
Every year, visitors enjoy great music inside the Entertainment Area, family fun in the Children’s Area and great food on the Midway all weekend.
Great events include The Big Art Show, a Cardboard Boat Race, a Volleyball tournament in Bay Harbor, and an all new Cornhole tournament. Plus, an all-new Country Music Night on Thursday, Fire Hooper, Speed Painter and so much more!
We are also excited for the return the Waganakasing Bay Day on Saturday, August 18th from noon – 4 p.m. This is a family-friendly water festival at Bayfront Park with hands-on activities for kids. Learn from Northern Michigan’s environmental experts on wildlife, water quality, stewardship, and recreation. Crafts, demonstrations, and much more!
Take a stroll aboard the Inland Seas! Saturday from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Discover the wonders of the Great Lakes aboard a traditionally-rigged tall ship schooner from Inland Seas Education Association. Climb Aboard! The public viewing of the tall ship schooner will be a wonderful experience for all ages and includes an ROV for amazing underwater views!
FREE RIDES TO THE FESTIVAL! Park at North Central Michigan College and have the Blue Lakes By the Bay free shuttle service bring you right to the fun on Friday and Johnson Bus Services on Saturday. The shuttle will run on Friday and Saturday from noon to midnight.
The Midway gets its own free music stage and Big Water Creative Arts Inc, will be filling the line up with talented Michigan Artists all weekend long. Be sure to check out all great vendors on the midway too! Food and fun await you! Saturday night you can also enjoy a free album release party as we flip things over to the Indie Music Stage.

Showcasing the best of what the Michigan music scene has to offer, every area of this year’s Festival on the Bay is bursting with music. Paid entry to the entertainment area is only $5 on Thursday and Friday and $10 on Saturday. The entertainment area will be serving domestic and microbrew beers and a variety of wine, as well as pop and water. Drink tickets can be purchased at the entry gate.
