Manitou Winds is pleased to be a part of the 2016 Oliver Art Center Concert Series, with a free concert on Friday, September 30, at 6pm. In this performance, the ensemble offers a program filled with the magic of summertime in a mix of Classical, Celtic, and Folk music spanning centuries. You’ll be taken on a colorful musical journey for the imagination.
They are delighted to be joined once again by their 2016 collaborating artist, Ellie Harold, who will be creating a full-sized painting inspired by the performance right before your eyes. Ellie has generously donated the use of her recent painting “The Secret Life of Barns (Cedar)” for the promotion of this concert. Two of Ellie Harold’s paintings, including “The Secret Life of Barns (Cedar)” are on display at Oliver Art Center as a part of the 2016 All-Media Juried Exhibition.
An enchanting way to bid farewell to summer, come enjoy the music and witness the creative process at work while surrounded by the architecture and evocative art that fills the main gallery of the Oliver Art Center — with beautiful Lake Michigan as a backdrop.
Admission is free. Your donations and support are always welcome at the Oliver Art Center. Members receive discounts and other special benefits. With your support, the Oliver Art Center can continue to expand its outreach programs for Benzie County and the surrounding community.
