The Eastern European tradition of artfully decorating eggs (pysanky) goes back many centuries. The people who use this art form are not merely “decorating Easter eggs.” They practice this elaborate and intricate art form all year long. In this introductory course, learn basic techniques of pysanky, including how to decide on the design, how to use the tools, dyes and clean up chemicals and how to preserve the egg for display.
