Elizabeth Lane Oliver Center for the Arts is presenting its second Summer Members Exhibit. “Last year’s exhibition was so successful, that we wanted to continue to showcase our members’ work. This year we are also celebrating 70 years of the organization and we want to showcase our history alongside our members because without them, OAC wouldn’t be here,” said Mercedes Michalowski, Executive Director.
Last summer’s exhibition featured over 160 works of art of various mediums. In addition, this year’s exhibition will feature a multi-media presentation on the history of OAC going back to 1948. “We will also have on display works by former members, instructors, and volunteers of OAC including Margaret Burrows, Marion and Alexandra Beauregard-Bezou, and Roland Roycraft,” said Michalowski.
The exhibition is sponsored by Suzy Voltz and Sleeping Bear Realty. The Opening Reception will be catered by Suz McLaughlin of Still Grinning Kitchens.
The exhibit runs from April 20 through June 1, with an opening reception on April 20, 5pm-7pm.
The Oliver Art Center exhibit and Mary’s Gift Gallery will be open to the public Mon. – Fri. 10 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., Sat. 10 a.m. – 4 p.m., and Sun. 12 p.m. – 4 p.m. Please visit www.oliverartcenterfrankfort.org or contact 231-352-4151 for more information.
