NORTH CENTRAL’S LUNCHEON LECTURE LOOKS UAVS—
North Central Michigan College’s Luncheon Lecture will take a look at unmanned aerial video systems on Friday, October 27. The program will be held in the Library Conference Center on the Petoskey campus. Lunch begins at 11:30 a.m. and the program begins at noon.
Northwestern Michigan College created one of the first academic programs in the nation to train drone pilots. To meet the growing global demand for highly skilled pilots, the college has created its own remote pilot training facility with nearly $1 million in UAS assets. Alex Bloye, NMC aviation division director, will give an overview of the UAS industry and will display some unmanned aircraft he uses, including a few that are the first of their kind in the country.
