NORTH CENTRAL TO PRESENT LECTURE ON CLIMATE CHANGE

North Central Michigan College’s Corporate and Community Education department will present a free lecture on our unfolding climate crisis, Thursday, September 6, 2018, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the Library Conference Center.

Our presenter will be Knute Nadelhoffer, Director of the University of Michigan Biological Station in Pellston and Professor in the Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology. Dr. Nadelhoffer’s research is focused on human impacts on carbon cycling in temperate forests and arctic tundra ecosystems and he has given many climate change talks to scientists, policy makers and the general public. Nadelhoffer is now serving as an expert reviewer for the planned Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change Special Report on Climate Change and Land and Current, detailing how our changing climate is impacting the Earth’s surface.

This is a free lecture, but you must register. Online registration is available at Eventbrite.com, search for climate change in Petoskey, MI, or email [email protected]
