Michigan Land Use Institute (MLUI) holds a Summer Barn Bash. The big attraction is Seth Bernard and May Erlewine Bernard, who have pulled together a band of terrific musicians to put on what will surely be a memorable music experience.
You may already know Seth and May as some of Michigan’s brightest lights in the music scene. Maybe you recall them receiving the MLUI New Generation Leadership Award a few years ago. They are really special people and are just flat out terrific musicians.
The location is the “Garvey Barn,” a beautifully restored barn nestled in Williamsburg, just east of Traverse City. The landscape is beautiful there. Longtime friend and supporter of MLUI, Bob Garvey gave this barn new life as a venue and was kind enough to host the party.
$20 Tickets available at www.MyNorthTickets.com. All proceeds benefit MLUI’s work to raise awareness about the 61-year-old oil pipelines in the Mackinac Straits.
Williamsburg is on M-72, about 4 miles East of US-31, 15-20 minutes from Traverse City.
