THOMPSONVILLE: Michigan Legacy Art Park is offering free admission to visitors on Monday, April 24 in celebration of International Sculpture Day.

The 30-acre park is home to over forty contemporary outdoor sculptures and installations, each connected in some way to Michigan’s history, culture, or natural environment.

The park will also host the monthly Crosshatch and Blackbird Arts “Artists After Hours” event at 6 p.m. that evening. All area artists are invited to attend for a special tour of the park led by MLAP Artistic Director, Kaz McCue, and then gather for social time at nearby Iron Fish Distillery.

International Sculpture Day is a worldwide celebration advancing the creation and understanding of sculpture and its unique, vital contribution to society. It is a day to create a unified community championing sculpture.
