Michigan Legacy Art Park is offering free admission and guided tours on Saturday, April 28 in celebration of International Sculpture Day.
Make the most of the Art Park experience by attending a free guided tour at 10:00 a.m. It is an excellent way to discover how history and nature come together in the park’s collection of fifty works of art.
At 2:00 p.m., a tour specially designed for artists will be led by Artistic Director, Kaz McCue. Discover processes and inspiration behind some of the park’s permanent works from the artists that created them. Artists that will be on the tour include Sergio DeGiusti, Dewey Blocksma, Bill Allen, David Petrakovitz, Patricia Innis, and Eric Troffkin. This tour is open to artists and art lovers of all backgrounds and experience levels.
Following the artists’ tour, a social time will follow at Iron Fish Distillery, Michigan’s first working farm solely dedicated to the practice of distilling small-batch craft spirits. Enjoy an opportunity to get to know artists from around Michigan, share stories and dream up new collaborations.
