Member Exhibition and Invitational with Friday night Cabin Fever Artist Talks during the months of November and December. Along with a Member Exhibition, five regional artists have been invited to share their artwork both in the galleries and in a series of Friday night ‘Cabin Fever’ Artist Talks.

The exhibition opens Friday, November 9 during a reception from 5-7pm. The Friday night ‘Cabin Fever’ Artist Talks kick off the following Friday, November 15. All Artist Talks begin promptly at 5:30pm and last around an hour.

November 15: Jerry Gretzinger will discuss his monumental mixed-media map art project, some 30 years in the making. The entire project is made up of over 2500 panels that are 8×10. His work has been featured nationally and in ArtPrize.
November 22: Schyler Binkley will discuss his personal thoughts on pottery making and his philosophy regarding form and surface. He will also give a demonstration of some throwing techniques used to produce a stunning array of ceramics and vessels.
December 6: In her recent series, Cherie Correll has used tire prints, tar, and natural black walnut dye, along with a variety of water media to create paintings depicting the seasons. These are part of a larger body of work where she explores the relationship between the natural world and man-made objects and the effects of weather and time on each. Her investigations take form in sculpture, painting, photography, and mixed media imagery.
December 13: Art is powerful and the arts can change lives. Elizabeth Abeel, batik artist and drawing instructor will explore the power of creativity from several perspectives. Elizabeth has developed a tool designed to help you discover your inner artist and therefore enhance your view of the world. Come learn the philosophy behind this concept and how, when combined with a dose of gratitude, it can indeed, affect your attitude.
December 20: Barbara Webb will discuss creativity and her gentle but firm response to people who don’t realize how creative they truly are and the fear factor that inhibits our artistic expression. She will explore the challenge and fun of the “risk it” technique and the joy of “painting outside the lines.”
January 3: Steve Loveless will discuss his unique photography. Steve concentrates most of his landscape photography in Benzie County as well as Leelanau County, Grand Traverse County and Manistee County. Other subjects that interest Steve are visual ambiguities, architecture and abstractions.

Gallery hours: Mon.-Fri. 10am-4:30pm; Sat. 10am-4pm; Sun. Noon-4pm.

Frankfort is about 50 minutes southwest of Traverse City, U.S.-31 to M-115 West.
